Why the site exists
Privacy technology is often explained in one of two unhelpful ways: the language is so technical that a newcomer cannot use it, or it is simplified until the important caveats disappear. This site aims for the middle ground. An article should be understandable on a first read without pretending that complicated tools are foolproof.
The goal is straightforward: answer the question a reader came with, explain the reasoning behind the answer, and point to reliable documentation when details matter.
What we cover
Our core subjects include Tor Browser, online anonymity, PGP and GnuPG, Monero privacy technology, operational security, and the history and structure of darknet marketplaces. The emphasis is on how systems work, where their limits are, and which claims deserve skepticism.
Technology changes quickly. Instructions and factual claims are reviewed against primary sources such as official project documentation, release notes, public records, and established research.
Independence
This website is independently maintained. It is not operated by the Tor Project, the Monero Project, GnuPG, or any marketplace discussed in its articles. References to products, projects, and services are included for explanation and research, not as endorsements.
Who writes the articles
The site is written and maintained by Admin, an experienced Tor user and long-time researcher of privacy tools, marketplace history, PGP, and practical online security. You can read how sources and corrections are handled in the Editorial Policy.
